viable hybrid has been created as an attempt to assist independent musicians in the promotion and distribution of their music. we hope to provide a useful combination of resources for these musicians, without affecting their artistic independence and integrity.

viable hybrid releases will be made freely available in a downloadable DRM-free format, with most also being released as limited-edition CDs. all CD based releases will be available directly from the artist rather than viable hybrid; viable hybrid exists to support musicians, not profit from their work.

viable hybrid was formally launched on the 28th February 2006, on the 53rd anniversary of Crick and Watson's 1953 announcement of their research on the double-helix structure of DNA.

our first release is scheduled for 28th february 2007.
